Long Trail girls soccer pulled off an upset on Wednesday afternoon, defeating Twinfield 3-2.

After falling behind early 2-0, LTS battled back with a late first half score by Molly Sanderson off a through ball from Liz Eisinger.

Sanderson evened the score at two-all late in the second half making a run through the Twinfield defense.

Alanah Walsh hit a corner with five minutes to play in regulation that deflected off a Twinfield defender and into the net giving LTS the 3-2 lead. LTS did not allow another score, and pulled off a comeback victory keeping their season alive.

Nancy Dominic made several key saves for LTS, including a deflection off the post that she was able to cover up to keep the LTS deficit at 2-1 early in the second half.

LTS will have a quarterfinal matchup on the road against Danville on Saturday.
