"You are Perfect, Queer Heart" will be the topic of Sunday’s service at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Bennington. Pastor Emma Peterson of Cedar Valley UU Church in Iowa will talk about having grown up in the Methodist church, and the ways my faith and her sexuality complicated her call to ministry.

Pastor Emma Peterson has dedicated her ministry to honoring the “inherent worth and dignity” of every person she encounters. She is a Bennington College graduate and received her M.Div from Yale. She began her career in hospital chaplaincy, specifically in areas of neonatal care, hospice, and trauma. Working on the precipice of life and death allowed her to consider life’s biggest questions, seek the sacred in the midst of chaos, and connect with others in their most vulnerable moments.

The Fellowship is meeting remotely, on Zoom, at 10 a.m. on Sundays. All are invited to attend. For the online link, email
