Steve Miyamoto, vice president of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, will share information about the purposes and construction of covered bridges, while focusing on the bridges depicted in paintings from the Bennington Museum collection. The paintings are currently on view as part of the People’s Choice exhibit.
Steve Miyamoto is the current vice president of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, which he joined in 2000. Steve is originally from downstate New York but moved to Vermont in 1993. He retired in 2017 from IBM/Global Foundries in Essex Junction. Steve handles the website, social media, and marketing for the VCBS. In addition to covered bridges, Steve also enjoys music. He has played guitar for more than 50 years and started playing the cello in 2013.
