Please join Vermont Land Trust on Monday, Feb. 17, for a guided snowshoe walk. We’ll explore Prospect Mountain’s new snowshoe trails, 10-11 a.m.

Both beginner and expert snowshoers are welcome to this family-friendly event. VLT’s Jennifer Garrett will lead the one-hour walk. The pace will be casual, perfect for beginners and families.

Event-goers will enjoy a discounted price of $15 per person for trail access and gear rentals. Please arrive early to sign in and gear up. Please register to reserve your snowshoes.

Please dress appropriately for the weather; conditions can be found at prospectmountain.com.

After the walk, be sure to check out the Lodge & Kitchen for lunch or explore Prospect’s other snowshoeing trails.

Snowshoes are generously provided by Prospect Mountain Association and Dion Snowshoes.

Directions: Prospect Mountain is located on Route 9 in Woodford. You can reach it from all points through Bennington, which is located just seven miles west of Woodford in the southwest corner of Vermont. Simply head east on Main Street which turns into Route 9. After climbing the hill, you’ll see the Prospect Mountain Cross-Country Ski Center on your right.

From the east, take Exit 2 off I-91 in Brattleboro. Travel west on Route 9 towards Wilmington. Go straight through Wilmington and continue west on Route 9 for about 14 miles. Prospect Mountain Cross-Country Ski Center will be on your left.

The Vermont Land Trust welcomes and affirms all people regardless of their age, culture, abilities, ethnic origin, gender, gender identity, marital status, nationality, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic status.
