Workers on dangling scaffold about 27 floors above NY street

NEW YORK >> The Fire Department of New York says two workers are stuck on a scaffold that's dangling about 27 stories above street level in Lower Manhattan.

The incident began around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday at 33 Maiden Lane, near Nassau Street.

Workers were trying to reach the men as the scaffold slanted downward. One person rappelled on the side of the building with a rope.
