Womenn's health day workshop
SALEM, N.Y. >> The Salem Area Woman's Club continues to prepare for the 22nd Annual Women's Health Day "By Women For Women" to be held April 30 at Salem Washington Academy. In addition to keynote speaker Lynn E. Lynd, six workshops will be offered.
Brenda Jenks will present the workshop entitled "Listening to Your Inner Physician". This workshop will show how to listen to the messages your body gives everyday, including food cravings, sleeplessness, low energy, dry skin, changes in bathroom habits and others. Recognizing red flags, and knowing what practical solutions might be available will be highlighted, such as dietary changes or environmental fixes. Brenda will illustrate some self tests such as for dehydration and talk about changes in moles and other skin conditions. Most importantly she will talk about warning signs that indicate the need for medical care immediately. Brenda reminds participants "When we take more notice and responsibility for our own bodies we enhance the quality of life."
Ms. Jenks is a Reiki Master/Teacher, Crystal Therapeutics Practitioner, Feng Shui Consultant, Space Clearing Specialist and a Transpersonal Counselor.
