Woman stable after fall on White Rocks Trail

BENNINGTON — A woman is in stable condition after falling on the White Rocks Trail on Wednesday morning.



First responders were called at about 11:30 a.m. after an elderly woman fell while hiking the trail, according to Bennington Rescue Squad.



The off-road team located the woman, provided stabilizing care, and took her. She was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The woman was in stable condition.



The trail head is on North Branch Street and goes up to Bald Mountain. Locally known as the White Rocks, it connects to the Long Trail.



The agencies that responded were Bennington Rescue Squad, the Bennington Police Department and Vermont State Police.
