Walden lawyer to run for attorney general as Republican


MONTPELIER, VT. >> Walden Attorney Deborah Bucknam is going to run for Vermont attorney general as a Republican.

Bucknam says Vermonters are looking for a change in leadership and a new direction.

She says that not only would she be the attorney for the state of Vermont, she would be the attorney for the people of Vermont.

The current attorney general, Democrat William Sorrell, is not seeking re-election.

Chittenden County State's Attorney T.J. Donovan is so far the only announced Democrat seeking the office.
