Vermont Police: Death of Rutland inmate apparent suicide


RUTLAND, VT. >> The Vermont State Police says the death of a 52-year-old inmate at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in Rutland was an apparent suicide.

The initial police investigation indicated that Victor Bora, of Brandon, hanged himself in his cell.

Police were called to the facility at about 8 a.m. Sunday. Bora was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. His family has been notified.

The official cause and manner of death are pending completion of an autopsy, but there was no evidence of foul play.
