Vermont holds seminars for first-time hunters


MONTPELIER (AP) - Want to start hunting but have never tried it?

The Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department is holding a series of free seminars for new hunters.

The Hunter Education Course covers the basics of hunting. There are seminars in deer, bear, turkey and waterfowl hunting and hunting with a bow and arrow.

The classes take place throughout August and September.

Participants must register for the seminars, which are free and open to the public. No equipment is needed.
