Vermont holds opiate addiction forum


MONTPELIER (AP) - Gov. Peter Shumlin, the Health Department and the United Way of Vermont are holding a community forum at the Statehouse on opiate addiction.

The daylong event is designed to bring together leaders from different sectors of the community to brainstorm possible solutions to the challenge of opiate addiction.

People attending are invited to form "community teams," organized around health department district offices.
