Vermont Guard to hold training at headquarters

COLCHESTER (AP) - People near the Vermont National Guard's Camp Johnson in Colchester could be hearing some explosions later this month.

The guard says training at Camp Johnson on Aug. 20 and 21 will include blanks and other "pyrotechnics."

The dates and weapons systems that will be used in the training could change. If so, the guard will try to provide updated information.

Camp Johnson is closed to the public and is off limits to all nonmilitary personnel at all times.
