Vermont college to start renewable energy program

WILLISTON (AP) - A Vermont college will be announcing a new renewable energy program thanks to a substantial donation.

Vermont Tech in Randolph and representatives of AllEarth Renewables on Thursday will be announcing a gift that will allow the college to start a bachelor's degree program in renewable energy.

Officials say the program will give students technical hands-on education in solar PV, solar heating, wind power and other topics.
