Vermont boy who accidentally shot himself was hunting
CABOT (AP) - Vermont State Police say a 10-year-old boy was shooting at birds when he accidentally fatally shot himself outside his home over the weekend.
Police said Logan Cookson was hunting with family members in Cabot on Saturday when he shot himself in the abdomen with a .22-caliber revolver. He later died at Central Vermont Medical Center.
Police said once their investigation is complete, the case will be sent to the Washington County State's Attorney's Office for review.
