Twin Valley HS to host regional drama festival this weekend

Twin Valley High School (TVHS) is preparing to host, for the first time ever, the Vermont Drama Regional One Act Festival on Saturday, March 8th. Twin Valley Drama and Thespian Society will perform, along with 4 other schools, in this one act festival. This festival, one of five throughout Vermont over the next three weekends, is a chance for many high schools to gather and perform their One Act plays in under 60 minutes.

Throughout the day students will engage in workshops to learn and have fun while meeting students from all over the state. At the end of the day, the two shows that the directors think are the most deserving will move on to the Vermont State Drama Festival.

At the Vermont State Festival, being hosted at Otter Valley, two shows will be chosen to represent the best drama, for this year, to the New England Drama Festival which Vermont is hosting this year at St. Johnsbury Academy.

The other schools participating in the regional festival are Mount Anthony Union High School, Fair Haven High School, Hazen High School, and Hartford High School.

There is open seating available for the public to come and see the performances. Shows will be presented in 3 blocks. Fair Haven and Mount Anthony will be performing from 12:45 to 2:45, Twin Valley and Hazen will be performing from 4:15 to 6:15, and Hartford will be performing from 8:00 to 9:00. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors/students, per block.
