Town meeting results from Searsburg, Winhall and Woodford
BENNINGTON -- The following are results of Town Meeting Day 2014 from towns in Bennington County:
SEARSBURG: Matt Somerville was voted to a three-year Select Board seat with 24 votes. Tony Kilbride was elected to a two-year spot on the board with 24 votes. Derick Lind was elected delinquent tax collector with 27 votes. Carolyn Bernal was elected to a three-year auditor seat with 25 votes. Dan Hollister Sr. was elected constable with 21 votes. Josephine Kilbride was elected auditor with 25 votes.
WINHALL: William B. Schwartz was elected to the Select Board for three years with 63 votes. Christie Mackenzie was elected to the School Board for three years with 75 votes. Tim Apps was voted into a three-year lister seat with 74 votes.
WOODFORD: Michael Charette was reelected to a three-year Select Board seat with 45 votes. Mark Santelli was elected constable with 45 votes. James Kinney was elected delinquent tax collector with 46 votes. Frank Palisano was elected to a three-year lister seat with 46 votes. Richard Frantz was elected to a three-year School Board seat with 50 votes.
The town budget passed with 50 "yes" votes to four "no" votes. The highway budget also passed with 49 "yes" to five "no."
