Blue Flashing Lights Means do not enter
The Cambridge Central School District is committed to ensuring the safety of its students, faculty and staff, and those entering the building. Six blue strobe lights have been installed on the exterior of the building to signal when the school is lock-down mode. These lights are strategically placed to be visible to everyone outside the building on school grounds. When the lights are flashing the building cannot to be entered by anyone. Teachers who may have students outside of the building for recess, physical education, field trips, etc. are to muster at their designated stations. It is imperative that faculty and staff members who may have been off premise, not enter the building, even during drills. The school will be conducting the four state required lock down drills throughout the school year (as well as the eight required fire drills). At the conclusion of the lock-down drills, a robo call will be made to parents and guardians. All parents and guardians whose phone number has changed since the last school year and/or would like alternate phone numbers added to the list are advised to contact Colleen Diotte (elementary school) at (518) 677-2653 ext.1416, or Darci Jones (high school) at (518) 677-2653 ext. 1413, with the updated information.
