BENNINGTON — The seven candidates for the Select Board met Thursday evening at the Bennington Fire Facility for a roundtable discussion hosted by media partners Catamount Access Television and WBTN.

Incumbent Chairman Thomas Jacobs was joined by Michael McDonough, Jeanne Conner, Don Miller, and Jeannie Jenkins. Candidates Mike Bethel and Jason Bushee did not attend.

The discussion was moderated by Robert Ebert. Aaron Sawyer of WBTN acted as timekeeper.

The candidates are competing for three spots on the board, after current members Sharyn Brush and John McFadden declined to run for re-election. The candidates met earlier this month in a forum at Oldcastle Theatre, which was sponsored by Oldcastle, the Bennington Area Chamber of Commerce, the Bennington Banner, and the Bennington News Network. Voting will take place on March 1.

Thursday's event was broadcast live on WBTN and CAT-TV, and was streamed live on CAT-TV's website, catamountaccess.com.
