State Police seek info on car destroyed in fire


WOODFORD - Just after 5 a.m. on Friday, Vermont State Police in Shaftsbury were advised of a suspicious car fire within the National Forest off City Stream Road. An investigation revealed that the 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada had been stolen the night before in Sheldon. The intentionally lit fire destroyed the car.

Vermont State Police troopers from the Shaftsbury and St. Albans barracks along with a State Police arson investigator and agents from the US Forest Service are working on the case. Police are asking anyone with information to contact Sgt. Brian Turner of the Shaftsbury barracks at 802-442-5421.
