Southern Vermont College's Board of Trustees announces appointment of new members
BENNINGTON >> The Board of Trustees at Southern Vermont College appointed Vice President Mark R. Manley 'P15 of AllianceBernstein, N.Y., and SVC alumnus Vice President Toby Potterton '99 of Atlas Private Wealth Management, North Adams, Mass., as new Board members at its recent meeting in May.
"I am excited to work with both Toby and Mark as they join the SVC board," said SVC President Dr. David Evans. "They bring a wealth of strategic insight and financial acumen to our board, and have already participated helpfully and wisely in our discussions. Their enthusiasm for SVC's mission and our students is palpable. I am glad to add Toby's voice as an alumnus of the College to that of Board Chair Ira Wagner '83, as our alumni have a special connection and insight into the College's history. Moreover, in an operation where compliance is critically important, Mark's expertise will be exceptionally helpful as we move the College forward."
