Slushy roads cause crash into utility pole
STAMFORD -- State Police said a Stamford woman was taken to North Adams Regional Hospital in Massachusetts Thursday with minor injuries after her vehicle went off the road and hit a utility pole.
The driver was Maria Theresa Denault, 20. All sides of her 2005 Dodge Durango were damaged. Police said she was driving north on Route 100 at 45 mph when she lost traction and went off the road, breaking a utility pole at the base. The Stamford Fire Department assisted at the scene, as did FairPoint Communication.
