Shumlin to sign ban on cellphones while driving
COLCHESTER (AP) - Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin is expected to sign a ban on using hand-held cellphones and other electronic devices while driving.
Shumlin is scheduled to sign the measure at a press conference in Colchester on Thursday, although he had expressed skepticism about the bill.
The law takes effect on Oct. 1.
The New Hampshire Legislature passed a similar ban last month.
