Shumlin, other Vermont officials to host job fair


BURLINGTON, VT. >> Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin and other officials are planning to attend a job fair at the King Street Youth Center in Burlington.

The program set for 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday will focus on jobs for young people 16 and older.

Also slated to be on hand are Chittenden County State's Attorney T.J. Donovan and officials from the Vermont Department of Labor and Mayor Miro Weinberger's office.

Those attending will be able to meet with employers who are hiring, and receive tips from Department of Labor personnel on filling out job applications and job interview skills.
