Secretary of State gives Vermont primary info
MONTPELER (AP) - Vermont Secretary of State Jim Condos is reminding people about the requirements to vote in the upcoming primary election.
The deadline to vote in the Aug. 26 primary is Wednesday at 5 p.m.
Condos says that polls across Vermont will be open on Aug. 26 from between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. depending on the town. Polls will close at 7 p.m.
Registered voters who would like to cast absentee or early ballots may request a ballot from their town clerk, whether in person, by phone or by mail.
All early and absentee ballot requests must be submitted by 5pm or close of the town clerk's office on the day before Election Day.
Condos says he's urging all Vermonters to vote.
