Sanders to discuss economy

Posted

BURLINGTON (AP) - U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders will be talking with Vermonters about the economy at a series of town hall meetings around the state.

The independent Sanders will hold three meetings on Saturday: one at 10 a.m. in Barnet at the congregational church, another at 12:30 p.m. in Cabot at the Willey Building Auditorium and the last one at 5:30 p.m. in Morrisville at the Peoples Academy cafeteria.

A fourth meeting will be held Tuesday in Jericho at 6 p.m. at the Mount Mansfield Union High School.

Sanders says he looks forward to discussing "the need for a massive jobs program, income and wealth inequality, health care, college affordability, and any other issue of concern to Vermonters."

Free meals will be available a half hour before each of the meetings.
