Roundup:Bulldogs pull upset and move into semis

STOWE -- The Burr and Burton Academy boys lacrosse team held No. 2 Stowe to four goals in a 7-4 win on Saturday, an upset that sends BBA to the Division II semifinals.
"Younger players stepped up and the upperclassmen set the tone," said BBA coach Jason Pergament.
Max Pagnucco scored twice in the third quarter to help BBA to the semifinal. Harry Colyer had two goals for Stowe.
"I felt confident that [Stowe] was looking ahead to the Burlington [matchup]," Pergament said.
BBA will travel to Burlington on Tuesday to face the Seahorses.
BBA track 10th in D-II
FAIR HAVEN -- The Burr and Burton Academy girls track team finished 10th at the Division II meet at Fair Haven on Saturday.
Individually, Emily Maier had the best finish for the Bulldogs, a third-place in the 300-meter hurdles, 52.77 seconds. Sister Lydia was sixth in the same event in 54.72.
The other placement came from the 4x400 relay, a third-place finish in 4 minutes, 26.88 seconds from the team of Raili Utiger, Ann Fisher, Emily Maier and Lydia Maier.
Emily Maier fell one spot short of placing in the high jump, leaping 4 feet, 8 inches, but losing a jump off for placement.
On the boys side, O’Brien Ellis was one spot short of placing in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.55.
