Roundup: Bulldogs pummel MSJ

BENNINGTON -- Three Burr and Burton Academy boys basketball players reached double figures as the Bulldogs plowed Mount St. Joseph, 93-43, in the final of the MSJ tournament.
Joey Shehadi led the way with 15, while Conor Harrington added 14 and Taylor Muench 12. Tieshawn Gadson contributed 9 for the 2-0 Bulldogs.
"My kids played well, I thought that we just came out and shot the ball well tonight," said BBA coach Dave Shehadi.
Hoop shoot contest
BENNINGTON -- The Bennington Elks Lodge will be holding its annual hoop shoot contest on Sunday, December 29. The event will take place at the Mount Anthony Union High School gymnasium.
Registration starts at 12:30 p.m., and the competition will start at 1.
The contest is for boys and girls ages 8-13, with their age being determined by how old they are on April 1, 2014. A birth certificate is required at registration.

MAU youth wrestling
BENNINGTON -- Mount Anthony youth wrestling sign-ups will be held in the high school cafeteria on Tuesday, Dec. 17 and Friday, Dec. 20 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Both sign-ups are prior to MAU wrestling matches.
Registration is $40 per wrestler with fundraiser, or $65 without fundraiser, and $30 for each additional family member.
