Roundup: Arlington rolls past Poultny at MSJ tournament



RUTLAND -- The Arlington Memorial High School girls basketball team had a balanced attack in the first round of the Mount St. Joseph tournament on Friday night, topping Poultney 59-18.

Molly Elwell led the way with 15 points, while Julia Lacoste was close behind with 14 as Arlington (4-2) beat Poultney for the second time this season.

"We had a good outing, we’re playing better now as a team," said Arlington coach Larry Andrews.

Brooke Hawley added eight, while Riley Lane and Savannah Pike each chipped in with seven.

Arlington faces host MSJ tomorrow night in the championship.
