Rotary donated $2,000

BENNINGTON >> The Bennington Rotary Club recently donated over $2,000 to a program called ShelterBox USA, which is a program that provides emergency shelter and vital supplies to support communities around the world hit by disaster and humanitarian crises. The funds donated by Bennington Rotary were sufficient to purchase two Shelter Boxes that were sent to aid those affected by the earthquakes in Nepal.

ShelterBoxes are designed and altered to meet the specific needs of those affected by a disaster and include items meant to help families who have lost their homes regain a sense of normalcy. Such items might include a relief tent for the family, thermal blankets and groundsheets, water storage and purification equipment, a basic tool kit, a children's activity pack and more.
