Road work in Bennington

- Townwide hydrant flushing begins Monday and runs for two- weeks, through Oct. 6. This program generally begins on the east side of town and works its way west during the two-week period. Some may lose pressure or experience discolored water. These are normal side effects. Please run the cold water only to restore water.

- Division Street remains closed to through traffic all week. Local traffic will be accommodated. Highway crews will be pouring concrete sidewalks. Men and equipment will be in the roadway. Please find alternate route.

- Grove Street will be closed to through traffic all week. Local traffic will be accommodated. Highway crews will be pouring concrete sidewalks. Men and equipment will be in the roadway. Please find alternate route.

- Hall Street in North Bennington Friday will be reduced to one lane traffic. Sewer Department will be repairing a sewer main. Men and equipment will be in the roadway. Please use caution.

- Park Street, Wednesday, between Gage Street and Scott Street will be reduced to one-lane traffic. Highway crew will be working on sidewalk repair between Gage Street and Scott Street. Men and equipment will be in the roadway. Please use caution and expect delays.

- Please do not rake or blow grass and/or leaves into town streets or highways as these clogs storm drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for the entire community. Residents and contractors, please make sure all loads are covered when taking leaves and or brush to the transfer station.
