Quest during Garlic Fest

Posted
BENNINGTON — The Downtown Bennington Alliance is giving local folks from Bennington, Pownal, Shaftsbury and nearby towns first dibs at winning the inaugural Garlic Quest scavenger hunt.

Garlic Quest scorecards have 18 clues that questers must decipher by visiting downtown businesses in person or by using the Internet. Two clues require selfies inside businesses.

Garlic Quest scorecards will be doled out at the 22nd annual Southern Vermont Garlic and Herb Festival on Saturday and Sunday at Camelot Village. Locals can get their hands on them starting at 10 a.m. on Friday by coming into Fiddlehead at Four Corners at 338 Main St. or Hawkins House Craftsmarket at the corner of North and County Streets.

Questers who answer at least 15 clues qualify to win an Apple iWatch Series 2 courtesy of Fiddlehead at Four Corners. Those who answer between 8 and 14 clues qualify to win gallon jugs of Corse Farm maple syrup courtesy of Digital Firefly Marketing. There are also prizes for those who answer between 3 and 7 clues.

Other prizes include a pint of Shagbark Hickory Syrup from Bringing You Vermont, a ukulele from Knapp's, a $50 gift certificate from Hawkins House, and a set of Two Brews coffee mugs from Two Brews Caf .
