Police say man knocked on girl's window

SHAFTSBURY - State Police say a nine-year-old girl was startled Sunday night when a man knocked on her window and asked if she wanted to come out and play.

Police said the girl screamed and the man fled. He is described as being white, medium height, with very short, dirty blond hair. He has no facial hair and was wearing large, plastic rimmed glasses.

The incident happened at 9 p.m. on Cleveland Avenue. No similar incidents have been reported.
