ARLINGTON -- On March 24, at approximately 2:45 p.m., state police responded to Ball Mountain Road for a one-vehicle crash. There they observed a 2005 Subaru Legacy on its driver’s side with extensive damage. The operator, identified as Michelle Kopeski, 40, of Arlington, was standing outside the vehicle. Kopeski informed police that she was not injured in the crash and denied medical treatment. Kopeski showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. She was transported to the Shaftsbury barracks, where she was processed, cited, and released. She is scheduled to appear in Bennington County Criminal Court on April 14 at 8:15 a.m. to answer to the charge. Her vehicle was towed from the scene. Theft
POWNAL -- On March 25, at approximately 7:40 p.m., state police responded to a reported theft at the Faith Christian Fellowship Church on Main Street. Investigation revealed that one or more persons entered the church through an unlocked window and stole various craft items.
