Driving under influence

BENNINGTON -- On June 13 at 11:15 p.m., Vermont State Police transported 39-year-old Roberta Condo to the Shaftsbury Barracks to be processed for driving under the influence of marijuana. During a traffic stop on Northside Drive, Condo admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the evening. After a complete evaluation, she was processed and cited to appear in Bennington County Court.

Single-vehicle accident

ARLINGTON -- On June 11 at 5:30 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash at the Dairy Bar, 3158 Vt. Route 7a. Lakiesha Shepard, the operator of a 1997 Subaru Legacy, crashed into the front counter of the business, causing minor property damage and minor front-end damage to the car. Shepard was with her 7-year-old son at the time, and appeared to troopers to be under the influence of an unknown substance. She was detained for further investigation. Nobody was injured in the crash. The incident is still under investigation.

WHITE CREEK, N.Y. -- On June 10 at 7:53 p.m., New York State Police responded to a single-car accident on Route 22. David Emaish, 41, of Bennington, was driving his 2005 Ford F-150 southbound when he lost control and exited the west shoulder of the road. Emaish was ejected from the vehicle upon impact and was found approximately 338 feet from the road. He was transported via helicopter to Albany Medical Center, where he was listed in critical but stable condition. Police believe alcohol was involved. Just before the accident, Emaish was observed driving across the yard of a local homeowner in White Creek.
