Police need more information on car break-ins


ARLINGTON >> Vermont State Police are searching for more information after two incidents of theft from motor vehicles on Saturday evening.

According to a release from Shaftsbury Trooper Justin Walker, a motor vehicle break-in occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the area of the West Mountain Inn. Police learned that a vehicle's window had been broken out to gain access. Various items including a purse and cash were taken from the vehicle, which belonged to a West Mountain Inn employee.

Police were then informed that another employee vehicle was broken into; this time cash was taken. It is believed to have happened between 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the release.
