Police Log: Route 10 crash results in serious injuries


WINCHESTER, N.H. >> On Thursday at approximately 5:30 p.m. the Winchester Police Department responded to a motor vehicle collision located on Route 10, approximately two miles north of the Northfield, Mass., state line.

Police determined a red 1998 Honda Civic operated by Eric Williams, 29 of Springfield, Mass., was traveling north when his vehicle crossed over the center line and collided with a 2009 Subaru Forester operated by Gregory Wilson, 66, of Jacksonville, Vt., who was traveling south.

As a result, Williams suffered life-threatening injuries, later dying at the Cheshire Medical Center in Keene.

Wilson suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Mass.

Assisting on scene were members of the New Hampshire State Police Troop C Barracks, Winchester Police Department, Winchester Fire & Rescue and EMS crews and members of the Northfield Police Department.
