Police identify victim of Calais crash


CALAIS (AP) -- Vermont State Police have identified the 73-year-old driver who died after his car went off the road and struck a telephone pole in Calais.

Police say Bruce Montminy Sr., of Brandon was driving southbound on Route 14 on Wednesday when he crashed.

He was pronounced dead at Central Vermont Hospital.

Police say speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash and Montminy was wearing his seatbelt. The crash is under investigation.
