Police: Man stole $5K of tools
A Bennington man faces charges in connection with the burglary of a Shaftsbury residence, according to Vermont State Police.
Bryan J. Kenyon, 32, allegedly took approximately $5,000 worth of tools, some of which he sold, Trooper Benjamin Barton said in a news release. Troopers investigated after the burglary was reported Tuesday morning. The tools were stolen from the residence in recent weeks.
Kenyon, who police said is on probation, was arrested and is detained at Rutland prison for violating his conditions. Kenyon was cited for burglary and sale of stolen property. For those charges, he is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Oct.30.
