Police: Bicyclist struck by car, injured in Burlington


BURLINGTON, VT. >> Authorities are investigating after a bicyclist was struck by a car over the weekend in Burlington.

It happened around 5 p.m. Saturday near a wastewater treatment plant on Riverside Avenue. Police say Richard Pomykala was injured and taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

He was listed in stable condition Saturday night. Police say the driver wasn't injured.

Authorities are working to determine what caused the incident.
