Passenger dies in crash, driver charged with drunken driving


MORETOWN, VT. >> A passenger in a pickup truck has died in a crash in Moretown, Vermont, and the driver has been charged with drunken driving.

State police said the crash happened shortly before 8 p.m. Monday on Lynch Hill Road. A 911 call said one person was unconscious. Attempts to revive 26-year-old Justin Weston, of Montpelier, failed and he died at the scene.

The driver, 26-year-old Justin Humphrey, was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday. It wasn't immediately known if he had a lawyer to comment on the charge.

The crash was under investigation.
