Panthers cruise to Wasaren League win over Mechanicville
MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. — The Hoosick Falls Central School girls basketball team continued their winning ways on Wednesday night, with a 66-37 win over Mechanicville.
Junior Kelly Pine had a big night for the Panthers, scoring a game-high 17 points to lead Hoosick Falls to their 11th win of the season.
Senior's Anna Wysocki and Megan Flynn, had 16 points and 13 points respectively in the Panthers win as well.
With the win, Hoosick Falls is now 11-1 on the season and extend their wining streak to 10 straight games.
Hoosick Fall also with the win, stays undefeated in the Wasaren League at a perfect 7-0 league record as well.
The Panthers will try to make it 11 straight victories when they host Hoosic Valley on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
Arlington girls basketball team falls to MSJ
RUTLAND >> The Arlington Memorial girls basketball team dropped their last game of their three-game road trip on Wednesday night, in a 57-17 loss to Mount Saint Joseph Academy.
Junior Jamie Keel had a team-high four points on the night for Arlington.
After losing to Fort Edward on Monday, the Eagles are now on a two game losing streak and are 4-6 on the season.
Arlington will try to stop the two-game losing skid in their next match up on Saturday night when they host Black River at 7:30 p.m.
Helen Mooney leads Cambridge girls basketball team to victory over Granville
CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. >> The Cambridge Central School girls basketball team got a huge win on Wednesday night, with a 50-28 victory over Wasaren League rival Granville.
Helen Mooney was the start tonight for the Indians, scoring a game-high 18 points on the night.
Bridey Nolan was the only other Cambridge player in double-digits on the night, scoring 10 points in the Indians victory.
Cambridge outscored Granville 20-6 in the fourth quarter to cruise their 10th win of the season.
The now 10-3 Indians will go on the road to try to get their 11th win of the season against Stillwater on Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
