Operation Lifesaver at Fisher Elementary

Posted

ARLINGTON -- "Stay Off, Stay Away, Stay Alive!" this was the message to Fisher Elementary students when Operation Lifesaver visited the school to present a program on railroad track and train safety. Operation Lifesaver is a non-profit organization that works with the Vermont Agency of Transportation to raise awareness about rail safety. Fisher Principal Deanne Lacoste invited Operation Lifesaver to the school. "With the increase in train traffic through our community, it’s imperative for our students and their families to understand the dangers of playing on or near railroad tracks."
