One person airlifted after Woodford crash


WOODFORD >> One person was airlifted after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on Route 9 on Friday afternoon.

First responders were called to the crash in front of the Woodford General Store just before 1:30 p.m.

A LifeNet of New York helicopter landed in the parking lot of the store and took one person to a hospital in that state. The individual's name and status were not immediately available.

The motorcycle suffered some moderate damage. A pickup truck at the scene had damage to its front right fender.

Vermont State Police, the Bennington Rural Fire Department and Bennington Rescue Squad responded to the scene.

One or more lanes of Route 9 were closed at times during the incident. The road was reopen by 2:30 p.m.
