One killed in early morning crash

MANCHESTER — Police are investigating a two-car crash that claimed the life of a Shaftsbury man on Sunday morning.
Manchester Police said that at 2:13 a.m. they responded to a crash on Main Street. Jason Baumes, 29, was the driver of one of the involved vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, Christian James, 26, of Manchester, was listed in stable condition. Police did not specify what hospital he was taken to. Police also said there were no passengers involved, nor were there any apparent witnesses to the crash, which remains under investigation.
