On the Road: Fourth of July weekend
There are small signs on lawns around Vermont that say "Drive like your child lives here". I have nothing to add to that this week.
I-89 in Milton has a bridge project with northbound lane closures from 7 AM to 2 PM and southbound lane closures from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Line painting continues from Exit 7 to Exit 17 between 6 PM and 6 AM. The Exit 10 northbound off ramp in Waterbury is being replaced. Reduced speeds and short delays may occur. Expect rolling roadblocks on Mondays between 9 AM and 12 noon.
I-91 in Irasburg has bridge work with one-lane traffic in this work zone. Continued bridge painting in both northbound and southbound lanes continues in Newbury causing short delays. Culvert work in the southbound lane in the Ryegate area will affect traffic. Motorists should expect lane and speed reductions. More bridge work northbound and southbound in the Bradford area will slow traffic. Southbound in Windsor a lane closure for ledge removal will affect traffic. I-91 in Brattleboro is reduced to one lane in each direction caused by a bridge project. Expect holiday delays between 2 PM and 6 PM. Southbound traffic should consider RT 5.
