BENNINGTON -- Oldcastle Theatre Company will be holding Equity Principal and non-Equity auditions on Thursday, October 11 from 9:30-5:30pm at its new theatre located at 331 Main Street in beautiful downtown Bennington.

The productions being cast are the musical "Northern Boulevard," a new musical by Carleton Carpenter and Kevin Brofsky, which opens on Dec. 7 and closes Dec. 23, and the non-Equity Actors’ Express educational touring company production. Actors interested in auditioning should prepare a brief song and bring sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided.

Actors are requested to bring a photo and resume, stapled together. "Northern Boulevard" is a brand-new old-fashioned musical with music and lyrics by Carleton Carpenter and book by Kevin Brofsky. It follows a young couple through courtship, marriage, children, and grandchildren, with ups and downs, wins and losses and a bucketful of marvelous songs. This will be the inaugural production in Oldcastle’s new space. Characters in the musical include eight parts for men and women, from teenage to middle age. Actors’ Express is a touring production which goes to schools in the greater Bennington area performing original plays with music which address issues concerning young people.
