Moving to Left Bank: MAU advanced design exhibit Bennington of the future
NORTH BENNINGTON — Mount Anthony Union students in Barbara Ackerman's advanced design class will move their imaginative and community oriented design project from Southern Vermont College to the Left Bank in North Bennington.
The student project, "Bennington of the Future," encourages a wider definition of design through urban planning and explores the need for creative problem solving both on the global and local level. Students have imagined and explored new possibilities for downtown Bennington. MAU student art will be joined by designs from Bennington College's class, Visionary Architecture, led by Vermont architect Donald Sherefkin, AIA.
Bennington of the Future exhibit, will be on display at the Left Bank, North Bennington. March 4 to April 29. The exhibit opening on March 11, 5 p.m. to 7:30 will provide an opportunity to meet with students, instructors and community members to continue the discussion of creative ideas for downtown Bennington.
The MAU, Bennington College and Left Bank collaborative is an opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen the connection between our educational institutions while enriching the connection with our communities.
