Mother Myrick's Confectionery, Northshire Bookstore and Mark Skinner Library team up for Literacy
MANCHESTER -- Since 1989, children in our area have participated in our annual Summer Reading Program. This year, Mother Myrick's is excited to announce that we have teamed up with the Northshire Bookstore and the Mark Skinner Library to create even more fun and excitement for kids in grades K - 6 who read this summer.
The theme this year is "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," which was published 50 years ago! We are incorporating the silver and gold "tickets," as read about in the book, to redeem for unique surprises at all three enterprises. (There might even be chocolate making for the lucky winners.) But you have to read first.
All the details are described on the game boards themselves, which we are distributing through the area schools; also available at Mother Myrick's.
