Morning briefing -- Weekend
BENNINGTON -- The Cancer Center Community Crusaders invite all interested individuals to attend an informational gathering on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Bennington Station. Join the Crusade to raise funds and support local cancer patients, their families and local cancer research.
Learn what this new fundraising organization is about and how community members can join together to raise funds for the Southwestern Vermont Regional Cancer Center's Patient Resource Fund and for cancer research being conducted right here in Bennington. Hear how you can form a "crusading crew" and join in the Community Remembrance and Cupcake Crusade, planned for May 21.
Informational packets will be available for crew leaders. Members of the steering committee will attend to informally discuss the group, its goals and plans for the big event. There is no formal program, simply stop by anytime during the event for some breakfast treats and information.
