Bennington Senior Center activities

BENNINGTON -- Today the Senior Center will be holding Zumba Gold from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., the Wednesday movie screening from 1-3 p.m. and breakfast at Falls Diner from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Call 802-442-1052.

Mozart's Requiem in full concert

NORTH ADAMS -- On January 15 at 7 p.m. at Drury's DPAC Auditorium, The Drury High school band and chorus will be presenting Mozart's Requiem in full concert.

The band and chorus will come together to present the Mozart Requiem for the first time. The performance will be led by Katie Gardiner of Skidmore College and feature orchestra members from the University of Massachusetts.

The concert is free and open to the public. Please come and support the music program as they recreate Mozart's Requiem.

Bennington School to hold yoga, Tai Chi studio open house

BENNINGTON -- Complimentary yoga and Tai Chi classes will be offered on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at The Bennington School, 192 Fairview St. The school will open the doors of its new yoga and Tai Chi studio to the community for an open house celebration from 4-6:30 p.m.

Participants may indulge in an hour-long gentle yoga class and/or an hour-long Tai Chi class. Classes will be suitable for students of all experience levels. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In addition to the classes, attendees will learn about the integration of yoga and Tai Chi into The Bennington School's curriculum and the benefits students reap by engaging regularly in both modalities.

Parking is available in the lot across from our administrative offices. Walk across the street to the studio, located directly next to the offices. For more information, call The Bennington School at 802-447-1557.

Kindergarten orientation process in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- Cambridge Elementary School has announced that plans have been finalized for the Kindergarten orientation process for the 2014-2015 school year.

Parents of children residing in the Cambridge School District who will be 5 on or before Dec. 1, 2014, should contact the elementary office at 518-677-8527, ext. 1416 to provide the district with the required information. This information will assist in developing our kindergarten lists for the upcoming school year.
